So Delightful to Meet You! Welcome to 22by14!

A source for fellow adventurers seeking high value travel experiences with a bespoke twist. 22by14 was founded by Christine (a business consultant) and Tatsuya (a lawyer) a married couple that travel with only four pieces of hand luggage. Yes, you read that correctly. We travel with two personal bags (usually a mid-small sized backpack and bucket bag) and two rolling carry-on luggage, hence the name of our blog 22by14 (the measurements for a TSA permitted carry-on bag is 22 by 14 by 9). Together we share a passion for exploring new destinations, immersing ourselves in the local culture and seeking out unique experiences.

As avid travelers we’ve collectively traveled for over forty years and visited over twenty countries and counting, always with the goal of discovering something new and inspiring. Through our blog, we hope to inspire others to travel and experience some of the most incredible destinations we have visited. Whether it is for a quick jaunt to Paris for a weekend or a ten-day journey in Southeast Asia, we hope to inspire your next itinerary.

Our mission at 22by14 is to provide you with valuable information, tips, and insights to help you plan and research your next adventure. Luxury travel is accessible to everyone and it should be enjoyable no matter your budget or travel style. We like a good deal, and we want to share our experiences and advice on traveling well without “breaking the bank.”
